This could get ugly JJ, on the ice that is. Hopefully Toews gets 10 points, I'm behind in my pool. |

Maybe Danault can light a fire under Bickell centering him tonight if his work ethic is as advertised. Not that #29 should need that as he's already got 4 million reasons a year to play better but hopefully something can get him engaged on a more consistent basis. |

Any effort from Bickel becomes a bonus for me as I have all but thrown in the towel with him. |

I really want to like him as a player. When he's on he's dangerous but the on switch seems broken for most of the regular season. He's got the tools to be a force but something just isn't clicking upstairs. |

I hope you win 25-0, but I can't stand Toews, so I hope he gets zero points... Sorry, LeftCoaster. |

Sooo many reasons to dislike Toews.... jealousy, envy, covetousness.... enviousness.... Did I say jealousy?
Think that about covers it.

Anyone see Lucic's new low last night?
Gets one punched by Prout and drops. Prout could have nailed him on his back but holds up. Lucic gets up - obviously claiming he was suckered and proceeds to try to sucker Prout over a linesman's shoulder.
Bruins/Habs tonight. Should be interesting. |

Overall I love the Hawks... They're my second favorite team. I just can't stand Toews... He's a tool... I have a friend who works with MTV Canada, and the guy treated her (and several other members of the crew) like crap. I don't care how much money you make, or what sort of job you have... You don't do that!
I still hope the Hawks embarrass the Oilers tonight... I want heads to roll in Edmonton. |

>Was thinking the same thing
>Really liked #24's high energy at prospects' camp two years ago
>Appeared to be the kind of player whose love of the game could inspire others
>Key will be #24's confidence -- hard to inspire if you are scared |

Then maybe bickell should be the one leading his linemate, inspire the rookie and enable him to play his game.Show something for a change Bicks. |

Enough trying to find a line combination to get bickell going. The only one that will get bickell going is bickell
It's time Q puts him in the press box |

You don't make it to the NHL if you're scared. Or did you mean nervous? |

He'll play with confidence. Kid has played in all the big tournaments for his age group. Been a leader on just about every team he has played on. |

Bring some attitude like Andrew Shaw did when he was called up by surprise to Philly -here's my chance for a big league paycheck, who cares about those guys in Rockford, I never want to go back.
I like what the Hawks are doing here, gradually giving their farmhands a taste of the NHL on a long road trip. |

Agreed. And it will be a total necessity next year. Let's see what these boys can do in the show. No restraints. Just balls out. Inevitable mistakes and all. |

1) There are stories galore about Crosby being a stuck up jerk. Not sure why you would hate Crosby for those "reasons" as Toews has brought home the cup twice and is obviously a better leader (so far).
2) This is the first story I have seen or heard about Toews being one. Not questioning your story but your friend was "press" and anyone can have an off night.
No offense. Thanks for the Hawks love.
ps: I knew Eakins had to be overrated when Ian Esplin dedicated at least 2 months pining for him for the Nucks. |
